We always hear about exercise being good for almost everything.
It helps keep you weight in check, it helps keep your heart healthy and helps control blood sugar levels.
Now there seems to be a catch all benefit. Building muscle mass helps you live longer. Or at least it helps stop you from dying prematurely.
To the list of the many health benefits of building lean body mass, it may be time to tack on yet another: According to a recently published study, the more muscle mass older people have, the less likely they are to die prematurely.
