it would only seem logical that as you age you would want to make some changes in the way you exercise.

This of course assumes that you have been exercising. And if you have not then this would be a great time to start.

In the past the argument was that as we age our exercise routines should be more about stretching and balance then about strength training.

While stretching is definitely needed there is no need to abandon other exercises as long as you use your head.

People turning 50 may want to consider tweaking their exercise routines because as they age stiffer joints, slower recovery from injury and the loss of lean body mass are among the perils facing the youngest baby boomers, fitness experts say.
